Instructions

 

Step 1: Read one article from the sources provided below

Step 2: Write an extended response that demonstrates how the written and visual language is used to persuade the reader to share the point of view of the writer of one of the sources outlined below

When writing your extended response, be aware of the assessment criteria:

- Understanding of the ideas and points of view presented

- Analysis of ways in which language and visual features are used to present a point of view and to persuade the reader

- Controlled and effective use of language appropriate to the task

If the extended response is completed under exam conditions, it should take approximately 1 hour to complete.
